Dr. Katrajian is board certified in both Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine/Neuromuscular Medicine (OMM/NMM). She teaches OMM nationally with the Osteopathic Cranial Academy (OCA) and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP). In practice she utilizes her understanding of general medicine, anatomy, physiology, and Eastern philosophy to get at the root cause and guide her treatment.
Dr. Katrajian was drawn to the holistic osteopathic philosophy that mind, body and spirit are connected. To have complete health care they must all be taken into consideration. In life, we are inundated with stress, whether it be physical, mental or emotional, finding a way to reduce the effects on our minds and bodies is crucial for long term health. Her approach, following the founding principles of Osteopathy, is to find the health in each of her patients, and allow the innate healing mechanism in the body to restore it. She works with your body to allow you space to heal. Her goal for you is to live life with less pain and stress, more ease and comfort, and to help find your way back to yourself. Which is what true holistic healing and integrative medicine is about - returning to the inherent wisdom in each of us in order to live fuller lives.
